And love, love, love is a dangerous drug....

Yes it is. Love or lust....both will undo the best intentions and sober resolutions of your average Poobah...

Note to self: never drink and blog. Second note to self: never underestimate the speed of the blogosphere to transmit info globally (hello, Tuzla!)

Regular readers will be glad to know that, after taking advice from a select group of trusted friends, I've done what I knew had to be done anyway.....Stop this madness in its tracks and tell the chap concerned that it's over. Finito.

Can't pretend that it doesn't hurt, can't pretend that a fair chunk of me is waiting for his text and can't pretend that it will be easy to say no if he does get in touch.

However, let's return at this point to the golden rules of relationships:

1. Self preservation
2. This too will pass
3. Be brave

Any other words of wisdom gratefully received at this somewhat difficult time.

Hurrah.
You have posted. Thank you very much.
& love is the drug that you're thinking of?
No wonder you are hard to get hold of these days.

Things happen for a reason so ride the wave and enjoy them until they hurt you, and things usually turn out for the best.

Have both proven to be scarily accurate in my life and, I suspect, yours.

Well done you.

that's that. email sent. reply received. he agrees it's off (apparently it was making him a "nervous wreck" - am I meant to feel sympathy???)

No sympathy for him. His choice to engage with you.

His gf gets some though.

I am beginning to wonder if there are any unattached men in HK or are they really just a bunch of dirty rats looking for a quick thrill?

Come to NZ, we have plenty of SINGLE hunky outdoor types who would salivate at the sight of the gorgeous Poobah!

Hurrah for PoohBear. Aren't you actually going to NZ for Christmas with the utterly fab S?
